Paul Carrillo
Paul Carrillo is the Vice President of GIFFORDS Center for Violence Intervention. Raised in Southeast Los Angeles amid gangs, drugs, and gun violence, Paul began his journey in 2001 as a volunteer in a hospital-based violence intervention program. In 2005, he co-founded Southern California Crossroads, a nonprofit dedicated to violence prevention and intervention throughout Los Angeles. In 2012, he helped launch the national Gang Violence Prevention and Intervention Conference, bringing together over 800 field practitioners. Paul's work has taken him globally to share insights on community violence in countries including Guatemala, Ireland, and Tunisia.
